In this installment, I describe the symbol of the spiral as it relates to the universal pattern and to Masonic symbolism.

Anti-Masonry. Where did it come from?

Secret societies have a way of falling under public scrutiny. Why would the activities of a society be secret from the public unless it was doing something sinister, right? This way of thinking is usually the general consensus. People tend to feel that when something is kept from public knowledge that there must be something dark and possibly even evil going on. While that might be the case for some groups (C.I.A., I’m looking in your direction…), it isn’t the case for all groups.

What people fail to understand about the secrecy within secret societies is that it serves a deeper purpose. Freemasonry, among other secret societies is the care-taker of the Ancient Mysteries. These mysteries have been passed on through various traditions since very ancient times, and have always been passed on from lip to ear. They have always included taking obligations, or oaths of secrecy.

This is due to various reasons. In more ancient times, it was done because the Church ruled with an iron fist and anything done outside of the orthodox method was considered blasphemous and punishable by torture, if not even death. Secrecy was also used to protect trade secrets.Since Freemasonry evolved from the original stonemason guilds, trade secrets were kept so that stonemasons could teach other apprentices their craft without divulging their secret methods of stone cutting and construction. Many trade secrets are still used within various labor unions to the present day. Secrecy was also used as a method of testing the initiates will power and trustworthiness. In order for someone to be trustworthy of receiving the Ancient Mysteries, they had to prove to be trustworthy with powerful knowledge.

Despite the countless sources of good information on Freemasonry, it is still considered by many to be deeply rooted in the evils of society. Anti-Masonry sprung up early and often and still exists to the present day. With the advent of the internet, the conspiracies have grown ten-fold. In the following article, the veil is lifted on these anti-masonic conspiracies and the truth can be laid to rest once and for all. Read this with an open mind and know that Freemasonry has had it’s name dragged through the mud for millennia. Know that knowledge is Light, which is what Freemasonry is providing through it’s teachings. It is a tool for good, not for evil.

Anti-Masonry loses long time supporter

It appears that a long-time anti-masonry supporter has passed away. Jack Chick was an evangelical Christian from California who wrote multiple mini anti-masonic comic books among other blatantly misguided pamphlets. He was responsible for perpetuating the whole Baphomet/Satan/Freemasonry connection that haunts the Craft to this day. It’s sad to know that any religious person could put so much effort into spreading hatred and misinformation to the masses.

Esoteric Christianity-The Real Teachings of Christ were Hijacked!

Most Christians have no idea that the teachings of Christ contain deep mystical and philosophical teachings that are in line with the lineage of Mystery Schools.  When Christianity was made the state religion in Rome, all other religions that were around the area at the time were either wiped out entirely, or had to go underground.  Anything that contradicted what the ruling monarchy wanted their version of Christianity to represent, was criminalized and violently persecuted. The teaching were twisted into dogmas and used to control, rather than liberate. Many of the original books of the Bible were taken out because they contradicted what Constantine wanted and an attempt was made to destroy them.  Luckily, some of them survived and when studied, paint a very different picture.  In this fantastic article on Esoteric Christianity, you will see how the original teachings of Christ mirror those of other Mystery Traditions. Please check out all of the great articles on this site as well.

How the Mystery Traditions Can Liberate Us from Enslavement

The enslavement of humanity is rampant. We are basically kept and herded like cattle to the slaughter. What is it that makes us so easy to control? The answer is fear.

Fear is something that is felt by all living creatures. The one major difference between us and other animals is fear of the future, fear of death, the unknown. Other animals don’t have this same fear of death or the unknown. They are stuck in the moment and live that way. It’s not as if they don’t feel fear. All creatures feel fear when faced with a circumstance. Only the human animal seems to fear things in the future or things that may never even happen.

This is the very thing that makes mind control work so powerfully. This concept of breeding fear within our minds. The human mind is a powerful thing. Tell someone that they are sick when they are not, and the person will make themselves sick by focusing on the idea. They will become physically ill just by thinking about being sick.

The same thing can be done by brainwashing by the media, schools, religion, etc. These institutions that are supposed to educate can also be used to control us. Just think about this concept for a moment. Think about the way in which war and terrorism is used in our very own American media to make us fear for our lives, to mistrust things we don’t understand, and cause
us to escalate our own hatred toward others! If we are made to live in fear of something, we will do anything we are told. 9-11 is a perfect example of this. A highly improbable story told to us by our media and government had the American public following George W. Bush like a lost puppy dog.

Knowing all of this, it is up to us to break these chains of mental oppression. How can we do this? It is no easy task to overcome this brainwashing. One fantastic method of doing just that, is to study the Mystery traditions. Why you ask? What do these traditions have that liberate us? There are many things, but right now we are going to focus on one of them in particular.

The main reason everyone is so scared of death is that it is seen as the end. Religions talk of an afterlife, but there are always stipulations and dogmas that come into play. To most Western religious traditions, only certain people are admitted to the afterlife or Heaven. The rest spend eternity in Hell . Science talks about energy and matter, but is always at odds with spirituality. According to traditional scientists, since Spirit is not a tangible thing, it can’t physically exist. Both views give us a pretty bleak outlook on the future.

When a person is exposed to Mystery teachings, they become aware of Sacred Geometry, looking at the whole, and most importantly for this discussion, the immortality of the soul. The body may die and wither away, but your soul enters the ether of energy and is eternal. All energy continually cycles through the Universe. When one discovers this, fear of death can be let go of. Traditions like Freemasonry for example, include this in their teachings. One of the first things a man is told, before taking his first degree of Entered Apprentice is that he is making his transition from time to eternity. Quite a nice thought! There are plenty of reminders of mortality within the Mysteries, but they are always followed up with reminders of our souls immortality. This helps the individual go within themselves and not only learn to appreciate the present, but also helps clear out the fear of death. This fear of death is the controllers #1 mind-control device!

Many are awakening to a new way of thinking and viewing our reality. Consciousness is coming into fruition. The Mysteries are just one of the many paths to enlightenment, but they are a fantastic tool. A tool that when used properly can throw a giant monkey wrench into the controllers machine!

The Epic Struggle of Life-A Self-Guided Initiation into the Mysteries

Let’s face it, life is a struggle and it is up to us to power through it. On the path to enlightenment and freedom, there are many obstacles that will try to keep us from getting through. Our modern society is detached, lacking in love and compassion. Technology has disconnected us more than it has connected us. We are being desensitized and programmed to be zombies. This is the goal of the dark powers out there. It can be debilitating if you let it be.

Just when I feel like I am making great strides to live the lifestyle that I have always dreamed of, I get sucked back into old bad habits. My life’s quest is to spread love and to radiate positive energy into the universe. I am striving to live by the moral code set forth by true spiritual seekers. To find Christ-Consciousness. This means living with love in my heart, taking care of all fellow creatures, and being conscientious. This being said, I am human and fail just like everyone else. In times like these, we must take a step back and remember the reason we got on this path to begin with.

The ancient mystery traditions used initiations filled with struggles and strife to teach important moral lessons. In the “Initiation of Plato”, as written about by Manly P. Hall, Plato was initiated into the ancient mysteries in Egypt and was said to undergo great trials and tests of his will. In doing so, his soul was liberated from worldly passions and his understanding of the Truth grew into true knowledge. Sometimes life has it’s own built-in initiations through trials and tribulations. It is up to us to spin these into a positive and let them make us stronger. We must use our spiritual insight to see the syncromysticism that exists in everyday actions and reactions. The Hermetic Principle of “cause and effect” is in effect every minute of every day. If we can use these everyday trials as a springboard for better understanding the Truths in life we can overcome the passions of worldliness. It it through these trials or “life initiations” that we can become truly enlightened.
