Crystal Meditation: 3rd eye chakra activation

Meditating with crystals is a great way to charge and work with the chakras. I have a quick and east meditation that I do. I start out by gathering a few crystals together. The crystals should be cleansed by soaking them in salt water for an hour or so. For best results, you should use pure sea salt. After cleansing the crystals and drying them, I take them, one by one and hold them to my chest. I rest them upon my heart and close my eyes. You may use some meditative music if you like. However, the focus should be on your heart and the crystal. Imagine that your heart is radiating a toroidal green light energy. You should pour as much love from your heart into the crystal. Imagine that the crystal has been changed to a glowing green color. After about 10 seconds of heart energy charging, bring the crystal up slowly to your Ajna, or “third eye chakra”. With your eyes closed, press the crystal gently against you forehead. With your third eye, examine the crystal. Look at every detail and enjoy the beauty. As part of the living earth, the crystal ties us to the whole. Examine each crystal with your third eye. Your breathing should be slow and deep. Breathe through your nose and out through your mouth. When the process is complete, you can slowly open your eyes and come back down to earth. Try this out as often as you like. If you have s lot of tension to rid your being of, cleanse the crystals each time before you use them for the meditation. Give it a try and feel free to add your own innovations to it. Enjoy!

Tall Cedars of Vinland

Throughout the ages, the pine cone has been used as a symbol for the Pineal gland and an activated Third Eye Chakra. You see this in ancient art from all over the world. In the East, it is the pine cone shaped top of the head of the Buddha, or Krishna. In the West, you see it in the sculpture of the Vatican and in Rome. All of the important cathedrals of the middle ages used pine or cedar wood for their woodworking and doors. We see an example of this in the Bible in the story of the building of King Solomon’s Temple. Solomon made contact with God and asked for assistance with building the temple. Solomon was granted help from a friend. Hiram, King of Tyre was sent to help with the building. He brought with him cedar and cyprus wood from Lebanon for the construction. This wood was abundant in Jerusalem and the surrounding area. Pine trees are thought to have certain powers and are a symbol of spiritual enlightenment. The Masons have an appendant organization that is known as The Tall Cedars of Lebanon, which is a reference to this sacred wood. The Christmas tree that we use today was chosen because if this mystical association. A tree that retains it’s color no matter the season. A symbol of immortality.

The area that I live in is a beautiful valley, nestled in between two ranges of hills. It’s just up the hill a little ways from the historical, unincorporated town of Vinland, KS. Since living in the area, I have seen my spiritual enlightenment grow ten-fold. I feel more at one with the higher powers in the universe. More at one with God. This feeling has been growing by the day. Right outside of the back door of my house are two giant Eastern Red Cedar trees. These trees are considered invasive and are all over the area. To me, they are magic and are helping me find my way down the spiritual path. The two in the backyard, are a male and female tree, standing side by side through all of the inclenmecies of weather. They are like my wife and I. Growing stronger every day. They are The Tall Cedars of Vinland.

Meditation in the Woods

As we strive for a greater connection with the whole, we must learn to control our passions. This is not easy to do in modern society! One thing that has stood the test of time is the art of meditation.

This past weekend, my wife and I made a trip into the woods with the goal of communing with nature. The stresses of the past week were behind us and it was time to place ourselves into a proper frequency. We found a beautiful clearing with a fallen tree that had created a natural bridge over what was now a dry creek-bed. We sat side by side on the tree and let the sun warm our faces. There was little, to no wind and it was incredibly mild for a December day. We had both brought crystals with us to meditate with and we got them out. My wife laid down on the ground on a blanket and placed her crystal on her Third Eye chakra point. I sat on the fallen tree and held my crystal between my thumb and fingers. We soon fell into deep meditation. I could feel my surroundings dissolve and my body lose it’s tension. I saw images as I attempted to clear my mind, but these images pulled me in. I saw a warm green light emanating from my heart. It went skyward and some of the light penetrated the earth. I could sense the connection between my body, my spirit and the Heavens and Earth. I saw fractal-like light vibrations surrounding me. I could see deep into Space and deep into the Earth. This connection was strong and real. My soul’s vibration had transformed. I stayed in this realm for as long as I could. When I finally came out of the meditation, my crystal was really warm, almost hot to the touch, and my breathing was soft and even. My wife looked more beautiful than ever, and the forest felt alive, despite the fact that it was mostly dormant due to the season.

We connected with the whole that day. Our vibratory energy was transmuted and our lives transformed. This is just what we needed. It’s what we all need. The power we need is within our hearts. Let your heart energy connect with the whole, and you will understand this like my wife and I now do.

for a December day.
